About Gissing Children's Centre

Our popular and successful Pre-School, with its very special family ethos, has been running since 1982. We offer a rich learning environment following the Early Years Foundation Stage and encouraging, among other things, creativity, self-confidence and mutual respect in the children in preparation for school and for life. We welcome children from all backgrounds and abilities, including children with additional requirements or disabilities.

The Pre-School runs two 3 hour long 'core' sessions from 9.00 am to 12 noon and/or from 12 noon to 3.00 pm every day, Monday to Friday during term time.

We also offer the added flexibilty of a Breakfast Club (8:00-9:00 am) extended lunch sessions (9:00 am to 1:00 pm) and extended afternoon sessions (12 noon to 4:00/4:30 pm)

Children can attend, unaccompanied, from 2 years up to 5 years old/starting school. Early Years funding for 2, 3 & 4 year olds can be used for both morning and afternoon sessions and extended sessions but not currently for Breakfast Club.
